South Dublin County Council welcomes 42 new recruits

South Dublin County Council is pleased to announce that 42 new employees have recently started their careers in the Local Government Sector.
South Dublin County Council has recruited the talented 42 out of over 800 applicants for the positions of Clerical Officer/Library Assistant.
The new employees took up duty on Tuesday, 18th April 2017 and will be assigned across all service areas in the Council.
Chief Executive Daniel McLoughlin stated “This is an exciting time to work in local government and I am delighted to welcome these enthusiastic staff members, who I am certain will make a positive impact on the innovative services we deliver to the citizens of South Dublin County”
The return to recruitment of entry level staff is a key priority of South Dublin County Council and has been ongoing since the lifting of the government’s moratorium on recruitment and promotion in the public service in 2015.
